You believed the lie about yourself until you become the lie. You may have done what people say you did, but you are not what people say you are. Don't blame your actions on your dysfunctional family. Base your actions on an attitude born of functional faith. Every group of people has a horror story to tell as part of their personal cultural heritage. Our problem is never ours alone. It is by "family". If you don't like your circumstances or your situation, you can change it. Others are so arrogant that they think they've achieved all of their success on their own and that God hasn't had anything at to do with it.
